Wow, I am pleased that the The Woolee Winder folks used this Shout Out of mine in their ad in the newest Spin Off issue!! I think it is on page 3. Mr. Lee emailed me a couple of months back and asked if he could use my comments. Why sure!! I am glad to help out and The Woolee Winder is a great product. I see that Lissa and possibly Donna were also quoted.
Also, I just discovered a GREAT podcast by one of our own blogging community members. I am proud to say she is a fiber-phile from Georgia. Check out Pixie Purls for a great show mainly focused on knitting and spinning. Way to go, Pixie!

| News Flash!! Non-Sock Knitting Content |
| 03.09.06 (1:30 pm) [edit] |
Yes, I have been knitting a blue streak lately. And not a sock in the bunch. If you can believe it. Ha!
The first is the vest I finally finished for my Bill, and just in time for his birthday. This was made from the merino/camel blend I spun.
The second and third are items I knit from the $3.00 swap meet alpaca that I dyed, which include fingerless cabled mitts from the current Spring Issue of Interweave Knits.
This is my first attempt at a picture using only one hand. Please don't look at my shabby nails that need a manicure.
Then, a picture with the mitts and the Bow Knot Scarf. I just love this little scarf. It does not require any tying, which I am horrible at!
I love this bag, which I knitted from the Araucania wool that I dyed naturally with cochineal and osage orange sawdust, but I did not love knitting it. I am not sure colorwork is my thing. I made it to hold my book charka. It is a little too small. The red yarn felted more easily than the yellow yarn. After the first felting, the bag was the perfect size, but another run through the washer to properly felt the yellow, shrunk it a bit more than I would have wished. I still like it though.
Because I got tired of the colorwork, the back is just striped.
